Conclusion At first the fireworks seem to overwhelm the vessel, but closer viewing makes the decorated boat an active bearer of the spectacle. Its flags collect colors from the sky and return them to human scale. The composition turns arrival into participation and the harbor into a shared ceremonial corridor.
