Introduction This oil-like nocturne shows crowds watching fireworks from both banks of a mountain river, viewed behind a foreground couple. A huge pink-gold crown exceeds the upper edge as smaller bursts and launches cast long reflections. Stalls, bridge, spectators, and buildings unite the river into one festival venue. Description Orange, pink, violet, and gold trails descend at upper right among smaller blue, green, yellow, and pink flowers. White-orange fountains rise from the right bank through yellow-gray smoke. A low illuminated bridge spans the center above red, pink, green, blue, and gold reflections.
