Interpretation and Evaluation The mask appears autonomous, yet visible hands and wrapped feet disclose the human labor sustaining it. Musicians and curtain preserve ceremonial context while the office building locates the performance in current urban life. Foreshortening is convincing, material contrasts are vivid, and the restricted palette gives unity. Juxtaposing traditional stage and modern façade adds temporal tension. Conclusion At first the lion seems to overwhelm stage and city, but closer viewing reveals performer, musicians, sacred paper, costume, and architecture working together. The work succeeds by making transformation physically credible while preserving both ritual discipline and contemporary setting.
